This holiday season, the BOLD Foundation proudly supported the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle through their annual Light-a-Luminary fundraiser. Each year, communities throughout the Triangle light luminaries in honor of families whose children are receiving medical care. The tradition has become a meaningful symbol of comfort, hope, and unity.
Volunteers from across BOLD Companies, helped prepare luminary kits for this year’s event. Each kit includes candles, bags, and an informational flyer, and sells for ten dollars. The proceeds directly support families who rely on the Ronald McDonald House during medical treatments.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle continues to serve thousands of families each year by providing:
• A warm, supportive place to stay near the hospital
• Daily meals and essential household items
• Therapy dog visits, games, and family programming
• A compassionate community during some of the most difficult moments a family can face
Luminary sales remain one of RMHC’s most important seasonal fundraisers. Community participation continues to grow throughout Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh, helping RMHC maintain its mission of keeping families close to the care their children need.
The BOLD Foundation is committed to supporting children and families throughout our local region. While much of our work focuses on youth-centered programs such as Holiday Cheer, Books on Break, and school supply drives, we are grateful for opportunities to collaborate with organizations like RMHC whose work closely aligns with our values.
The Light-a-Luminary tradition reminds us that small acts of generosity can bring light to others in meaningful ways. As luminaries shine throughout the Triangle this season, we are honored to play a part in supporting the families who need that light most.
