BOLD Foundation 2022 Year In Review!

It's been an incredible year for BOLD Foundation, and we couldn't have done it without the support of our dedicated team, volunteers, and donors! This past year has been one filled with challenges, but thanks to your support, we have been able to make a significant difference in our local community.

Here's a look at just some of the highlights from the past year:

One of our initiatives was supporting the Chatham Sheriff's ARC (Animal Resource Center). We not only hosted a donation drive to collect their most-needed items, but we also spent a day volunteering at the ARC, helping the staff care for the animals.

We were also proud to sponsor the Monet Richardson Community Foundation's annual 5k, which raises awareness and support for youth in North Carolina communities.

Our team was able to make a difference in the lives of local students as well. We donated $5k, purchased more than 500 books, and volunteered for the Chatham Education Foundation's "Books on Break" program, which distributed more than 14,000 books to 2,200 in Chatham County. We also donated school supply kits to more than 120 students in Chatham County, along with bulk items for their entire school to use.

We were able to work alongside the Chatham Habitat for Humanity and contribute to the framing of a new home for a family in Siler City.

Our team was recognized for our efforts in the community, as we were voted Best Nonprofit in the 2022 Best of Chatham Issue.

We adopted a section of the shoreline at Jordan Lake, and our team has made several trips to remove trash from the area.

We also held our first-ever Bikes for Tykes toy drive, which was a huge success and allowed us to collect a large number of toys for our Holiday Cheer program, which serves children and families in need during the holiday season.

Last but not least, we donated gifts to more than 225 children through our Holiday Cheer program – a record number for us! These gifts included winter coats and other necessary items, as well as items from the children's wish lists. It was a wonderful way to end the year, bringing joy and cheer to children in need during the holiday season.

Overall, it's been a truly impactful year, and we are so grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way. We can't wait to see what the new year brings, and we look forward to continuing to make a difference in our community!
